Premium cognac brand Rémy Martin is steeped in history and synonymous with prestige and discerning taste. We were briefed to develop a campaign which recognised bartenders as their best brand advocates, which connected with the community, and which built their footprint and credibility.

The answer was a Battle Royale, a unique competition featuring the best in local bartending talent, culminating in a visit to a prestigious academy in the brand’s heartland of Cognac, France. The event showcased the brand to the country’s best bartenders while educating and inspiring them to create their own versions of the signature Sidecar cocktail. It was also attended by some of Johannesburg’s key media, influencers and friends of the brand.
